Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Bald Head Island vacation home experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select your dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Villa 36-3BR\/3BA Oceanview Villa steps to the beach & Bald Head Island Club. has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
