Welcome to Once Upon a Tide. Savor the spectacular sunsets from your own back porch! This 4 bedroom / 3.5 bath is located in Killegray on the dune ridge. The main home consists of 3 bedrooms, which are located downstairs. The first bedroom is a queen master suite. The 2nd bedroom consists of a king bed and the 3rd bedroom has 2 twins. The two bedrooms share a bath located in the hall. Upstairs is all about the view! The main living area, kitchen, dining and half bath are all located on the 2nd story. There is a balcony off of the living area that over looks the Atlantic Ocean. We also have a screen porch downstairs if you just want to get savor a peaceful cup of coffee. The crofter outside has a separate master bedroom and bathroom with a queen bed.

Finding your perfect vacation home:

• The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
• To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
• Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
• Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
• Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
• During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
• Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
• Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
• Did you have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
