Coble Cottage is a charming oceanfront home with one acre of land giving broad vistas of the ocean and dunes. A private boardwalk leads to the peaceful beach on the east end of Holden Island. This beautiful home features its own secluded private pool (open from Easter - October).

The home is located in the gated subdivision of Dunescape where guests savor the use of the community swimming pool, tennis/pickleball courts, a full basketball court, and sand volleyball. There is also a community beach on the Intracoastal Waterway. Gorgeously decorated, including den furnishings with a queen sleeper couch, this home will bring serenity to your beach vacation! Guests can also appreciate the Keurig coffeemaker, lounge chairs by the pool, an outdoor shower with hot & cold water, and a charcoal grille under the home.

Embrace the warmth of southern 'Hobbspitality'! Savor a welcome set of starter amenities, including one roll of paper towels, trash bags, laundry and dishwasher pods, dish soap, and a sponge. All bathrooms include one roll of toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, makeup wipes, and bar soap. Your beds are made with fresh linens and a lightweight blanket, so you can jump right into making memories rather than making beds! While we provide a lightweight blanket, we urge you to bring additional layers for your comfort. Please note that while top bunk beds, trundles, sleeper couches, futons, and daybeds will not be made, we will provide fresh linens for them.

Please be aware that although this is not a dog-friendly rental, the owner brings their personal pet to their property. Guests with animal allergies may want to consider an alternate home.

Booking the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, shift your family's Carolina Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Hobbs Realty - The stunning \"Coble Cottage\" has beautiful views and a heatable pool in a private, gated community. has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
