Getting the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Carolina Beach area. Booking your Carolina Beach vacation rental in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Start by having your family choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Get caught up in \"Riptide\" has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach destination you simply love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
