  • Summer is the most expensive season in Oak Island. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.   • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
