Rental booking tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Carolina Beach area. Book your Carolina Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose your vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Geneva Too: Beautifully furnished Oceanfront home with 2 oceanfront covered porc has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
