(5BR/4.5BA, 4K, 1BB, SLP 11, 2 carts, Saturday Turn in Peak Season, CHECK OUT 11:00AM / CHECK IN 5:30PM) Appreciate nothing but dunes between you and the beach at Bald Head's excellent Sea Haven, a three-story getaway with five bedrooms and 4.5 baths.

Set on a knoll, this home makes the most of its location by offering stretching seascapes up and down South Beach. The entry level features a partially-covered bayed home-length deck equipped with rocking chairs-ideal for soaking in surf scenes and salty breezes. At the end of the deck is a screened dining gazebo so you can relish wave prospects with your meals and snacks.

Step inside the home and immediately you will be charmed by the extravagant touches of this open floor plan home-the warm hardwoods, the handsome wainscoting and the tasteful appointments. The front wall of windows brings plenty of natural light and Atlantic perspectives into the living space that is anchored by a marbled fireplace and proffers tons of constructed-ins supplied with games and puzzles. Beyond, the dining area is furnished with a table for eight and is just across from the breakfast bar that seats three more. The chef's kitchen provides plenty of quartz counters, stainless appliances (including a double oven), and a generous pantry with wine cooler and shining, briny vistas. This floor also homes two King Owner Suites. Both pamper with their own snuggly sitting/reading space, private waterfront deck egress, enormous closets and full baths with his- and-her granite vanities, walk-in tile showers and water closets.

Downstairs, an oversize laundry/mudroom, right off the garage/outdoor shower area, is great for getting sand off after a day at the beach. Upstairs, the vaulted third level opens to a huge great room fronted by ocean-facing doors and windows. Step out onto the generous bayed upper deck and take in the 180-degree Atlantic panoramas. This floor is home to three more bedrooms. The first is another King Owner Suite with its own covered porch to watch the tides roll in. It also includes a sizable closet and full bath with a granite double vanity, walk-in tiled shower and water closet. On the other side of the home, a fourth bright King Suite also delights with a private porch for savoring the breakers. It shares a Jack-and-Jill bath (with a dual granite vanity, tiled tub and water closet) with a comfortable bunk room featuring two Twin bunk beds and a trundle. Centrally located on the Island and providing the use of two golf carts plus access to WWP's 24/7 Property Manager Assistance Line-which means you can reach needed help even after hours or on weekends, Sea Haven calls you to come rest, rejuvenate and rejoice in the best of Bald Head.

Bald Head Island rental home booking tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and picking your prefect Carolina Beach rental:

  • First, have your family commit to date ranges and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Enjoy nothing but dunes between you and the beach at Sea Haven! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
