Pretty Holden Beach earned the distinction as America's #1 Family Beach from Stephen P. Leatherman, Director of the Laboratory for Coastal Research at Florida International University and was also ranked as the “Top Family Beach in the Country” by National Geographic Traveler Magazine.

We have been coming to NC beaches for over 20 years and knew one day we wanted to have our own home to savor with family and friends. Our oceanfront home is 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, heated pool/spa and only a few steps out the back door and your toes are in the sand. Our home will rent from Sunday to Sunday so you can avoid that rough Saturday Beach Traffic.

Outdoor: Three covered decks and one uncovered deck offer places to relax and see sunrises and sunsets. The heated saltwater pool/spa and Tiki Bar offers a nice place to hang out in the evening after a day at the beach. The pool/spa is 7'6" x 22' with a depth of 4'9". The pool can be heated from October through May for an additional fee of $910 ($130 per day), you must schedule one week before check-in.

Indoor: Stunning vistas from all places of the home. The kitchen is entirely supplied and has an additional ice machine and a drink cooler. Three bedrooms have their own ocean view and direct access to the decks. The den has a fireplace that is available in the fall/winter months. You can appreciate a family movie on the enormous intelligent tv with surround sound.

Cavernous 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom has direct access to a bathroom, and three bedrooms have private ocean vistas with private door to a deck. The master bedroom has a full wall of windows and a private seating area to enjoy the tranquility the view brings. All bedrooms have a tv, and closet. Upstairs there is a hallway reading spot that has many books to pick from.

Bedroom 1 - Oceanfront master bedroom with vaulted ceiling, queen bed, tv, recliner, private reading alcove, direct access to top deck and a wall of windows to enjoy the ocean vistas. There is a walk in closet and the master bathroom has a Roman Shower and an chic complimentary standing tub with chandelier.

Bedroom 2- Oceanfront bedroom with a queen bed, closet, tv and direct access to top deck. Private bathroom with shower.

Bedroom 3-Bedroom has a queen bed, pull out twin couch, closet, and tv. Private bathroom with shower.

Bedroom 4- Oceanfront bedroom with queen bed, closet, tv and direct access to back deck. It has a Jack-N-Jill bathroom with double sink and shower/tub combination that it shares with bedroom 5.

Bedroom 5- Bedroom has a bunkbed with a twin on top and a full on the bottom, closet and tv. It has a Jack-N-Jill bathroom with double sink and shower/tub combination that it shares with bedroom 4.

Holden Beach has a pier that provides for a great fishing spot, great vistas and entertainment for families (under construction at this time). There are many great eateries, delicious ice cream stores, fun shopping and nice sidewalks for walking and bicycling.

Author Tracey Minkin in Coastal Living writes about Holden Beach, "This best-kept secret on North Carolina’s southernmost stretch of coast is a laid-back escape that families adore, and multimillion-dollar, post-hurricane beach replenishment projects have only amplified its sandy gifts. Here, thankfully, the pleasures still remain simple, from cycling and kayaking by day to ghost crabbing by nighttime."

Tricks and tips to get the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Beautiful Custom Oceanfront Home renting Sunday to Sunday has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
