Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Carolina Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose the right Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Casa de Ava - Ocean View, well maintained, condo on Caswell Beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
