Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Sunset Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by having your family choose dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 400 Argyle Point by Sunset Vacations has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
