Bald Head Island rental property booking tips and tricks:

Finding the best value:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Rose Cottage- Ocean View 4BR\/4BA high dunes home just steps to the beach! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your contract.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach beach you love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
