Vacation rental tips:

Finding your best deal:

  • Book your Carolina Beach rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect vacation home in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean Front Beach Complex\/ Unit B-3\/ Beach Villas\/ Book Early For 2023 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
