Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Carolina Beach rental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. GREAT LOCATION-1st STREET CONDO WITH POOL has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach destination you love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
