Tips and Tricks for getting the best vacation property experience:

Finding the best value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Finding the best vacation rental in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. A Place at the Beach II - Side View Oceanfront 2BR Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
