Welcome to Gone Coastal. Our home is tucked off the main road on the Island. It is on a peaceful street, which makes it great for families, but the beach and stores are comfortably accessible. This new home is a 15 min walk to the beach. The home has a sunny, open & accommodating living space and is very well equipped for you to appreciate your anxiety complimentary vacation.
Check in is on usually on Friday so you can savor Saturday at the beach while the other visitors are coming and going.

Walk directly into a massive 34 x 22 open living/dining/kitchen area ideal for hanging out after a day at the beach. There is a TV in the living room as well as board games for the family to enjoy.
Our home has everything you need to make you feel at home. TV, Fiber High Speed Internet, new appliances, modest appliances, and tons of pots and pans. When you arrive, there will be all the things to get you started - Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, coffee and coffee filters, laundry detergent.
There are ceiling fans in all rooms.
There are 3 bedrooms (K, Q, 2 twin bunk beds) and 2 full bathrooms. The king and queen bedroom have TVs.
All TVs can stream your favorite apps.
Appreciate the outdoors with a picnic table, hammock, screened in porch and an outdoor shower for those sandy beach days. There is a grille if you prefer to prepare outside.

Bed linens and bath towels are included in the fee.
BEACH TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Smith Island Museum of History and Franklin Square Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting.

Sticking to your budget:

  • Summertime is high season in the Carolina Beach area. Book your Carolina Beach rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for local tours and attractions.

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Family friendly location. 15 min walk or 5 min drive to the beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach attraction you are enamored with, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
