Set right in the heart of historic, downtown Wilmington, this updated vacation rental occupies the upper level of a 100-year old duplex. This home is within walking distance of numerous local eateries, breweries, stores, and the riverwalk, while additional must-visit destinations can also be found close by including the Cargo District, the Brooklyn Arts District, and the Soda Pop District. Venture out a little farther to discover multiple other attractions including Battleship North Carolina, Airlie Gardens, the Country Club of Landfall, and Johnnie Mercers Fishing Pier, all within 10 miles of your door.

Inside, this home features numerous original features including a clawfoot tub, three decorative fireplaces, 10-foot ceilings, and handsome wood floors. Prepare your favorite dishes in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, gather for meals beneath the gorgeous chandelier in the formal dining room, and then settle into the main living area to watch TV into the evening. This home also includes a home office with a desk and chair if you need to set up your laptop for remote work or schooling.

Outside, watch the world go by from your furnished balcony that overlooks cobblestone-paved 4th Street or meet up on the patio in the enormous, fenced yard.

Find your perfect rental home:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
