Tips to get the best Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Finding the best rental home:

  • Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Cute cottage in The Cargo District! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is optimal for your vacation.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
