Strategies to get the perfect rental experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking yourrental home:

  • Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Custom home on the Intracoastal with water views, pool, dock, & decks has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
