Our top Rental booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Summer is high season in Carolina Beach. To get the best value, change your family's Carolina Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best vacation home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Select your vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. ??Dolphin Point- Pet Friendly-Canal Front-Boat Deck?? has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
