How to get the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Sticking to your spending budget:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Carefree By the Sea at Holden Beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
