Tricks and tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain deals for local shops and restaurants.

Planning and picking your prefectrental:

  • First, have your family choose trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. A Sea Turtle Shore-Salty Carolina Vibes has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach beach you long to visit, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
