Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:

When to book a Carolina Beach rental home & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To book the most suitable vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Amazing Family\/Pet Friendly Shore Enuff Hideaway!! \"Good times and Tan Lines\" has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Know before you go:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
