Getting the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Bald Head Island. To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Carolina Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Bald Head Island:

  • Select your dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 5 bedroom home in creek estates, private crofter and maritime forest views has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is best for your group.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
