Fins & Skins, a enormous, privately owned, Canal home located on the East end of the island. Interior amenities include WIFI, washer, dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, central heating & air, 3 color cable TVs, DVD player, ceiling fans. Exterior amenities include outside shower, screened porch, sundeck, covered porch, dock. The 3rd bathroom for this property is located downstairs and is not accessible through the home. (You must go outside to access this bathroom). Nightly units require a departure maid service. This is stringently a ***NON SMOKING*** & ***NON PET FRIENDLY*** home. HOME IS NOT EQUIPPED FOR ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING. OWNER DOES NOT ALLOW USE OF FIRE PIT OR PERMANENT GRILL.

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.

  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
