Sunset Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting the best rental home:

  • To start, have your family select a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 040 Footprints In The Sand By Sunset Vacations has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach attraction you simply love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. message the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
