Strategies for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Wonderful beachfront house with private hot tub, W\/D, deck, central AC, & WiFi has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach attraction you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
