Strategies to get the perfect rental home experience:

When to visit Bald Head Island & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Bald Head Island. To get the best rental for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Thurs to Thurs Summer Rentals with BHI Club access! 4 Beds on Bald Head Island! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

During your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
