Carolina Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To book the best rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • First, have your family decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. “THIS IS US” – NEWLY RENOVATED 5BD\/4BA HOUSE has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
