Strategies to get the best Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To find the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Carolina Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Recently updated, short walk to beach! Outdoor family area with putting green! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
