Finding the best Carolina Beach rental experience:

Get the best value:

  • Summertime is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book a perfectvacation home:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. The Surf Shack BHI; 2BR beach cottage on East Beach! has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your family.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach attraction you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
