Welcome to The Sea Glass on Bald Head Island!
This is an idyllic getaway for anyone looking for a calming vacation on the island. Conveniently located midway between the marina and central market, this home offers a serene setting amidst Live Oaks, Spanish Moss and Sabal Palms.
This cavernous home features a kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances with entirely supplied essentials for preparing family meals. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with an ensuite Queen bedroom located downstairs. The other 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are upstairs. This includes a King in the master suite. There is a screened porch in the back, with a hammock, ideal for appreciating the surrounding forest and wildlife.
If you need to stay connected during your stay, the home has magnificant internet service. There are books, board games and kids's toys. There are two 4-passenger golf carts for use during your stay. This home does not have any club memberships. Our favorite things to do on the island include going to the beach, taking walks in the maritime forest, visiting the Old Baldy Lighthouse and walking to Midway Coffee in the morning to grab a latte.
The Sea Glass is the ideal getaway for some time away to appreciate the pretty surroundings. We hope that you will appreciate it as much as we do!

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summertime is high season in Bald Head Island. To get the largest rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses.
