Tricks and tips to get the optimal Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Carolina Beach vacation home:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. The Marsh House - Rate discounted for remaining August weeks! has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach destination you love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
