Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island, is home to this vacation home. Franklin Square Gallery and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Oak Island Golf Club and The Clubs at St. James. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting.

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. The Bu with a View has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
