Our top Carolina Beach rental home tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • To get the best rental within budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Carolina Beach restaurants and activities.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and choosing the right Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. ?? Sea Colony A3: Oceanfront Deck, Pool, Hot Tub?? has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
