  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Carolina Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses.   • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it.
