  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home.   • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses.
