How to get the best vacation property experience:

Finding the best value:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Finding the perfect vacation rental in Wilmington:

  • First, have your group choose a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Quiet Boho Townhouse w\/ Pool; 15 Min to Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your trip.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach attraction you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Have a great stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
