The Keg and Egg is a craft beer emporium with a big Pittsburgh-style influence which, when combined, creates a hearty menu that is sure to appease beer fans and hungry patrons alike. This unique beer garden and sandwich shop is a relatively new addition to the Wilmington dining scene, but it’s nevertheless already attracting students, locals, and visitors to travel to the slightly quieter Masonboro Loop region to see what all the fuss is about.
When it comes to food, the menu is basic but vibrant, with plenty of filling sandwiches and staples that are designed to satisfy an appetite. True to its name, the Keg and Egg has a host of all-day available egg dishes, as well as a big helping of sandwiches including a monster meatball sub, a Philly cheesesteak, and Italian-inspired subs like the Genoa Salami or the Capicola and cheese. The Fry Pies are arguably the biggest draw, with heaping 10” skillets of fries topped with cheese, bacon, gravy, and / or even meatballs. Beer fans will want to stick around after a meal to peruse the beer selection, which includes about 120 brews and a variety of wines for retail sale. Decadently good, and not for small appetites, the Keg and Egg is becoming the Wilmington go-to for big, beer-loving appetites.
