Welcome to the heart of downtown Wilmington, NC! This loft is privately tucked upstairs in the historic Shrier building with so much within walking distance:

The space
You will appreciate the contrast of being right in the center of downtown while being able to walk up to a completely private loft with all the amenities of home. The walls are 12ft tall, providing such a roomy feel. The original floors give this place rather the appeal, and the modern conveniences will make you feel right at home. I LOVE the balcony overlooking Front Street. Talk about just sitting back, calming, people watching, and being able to savor the bustle from above.

Entire Place. Quiet hours 10p-8a. No events.

No parking spaces for my loft. I park in the lot behind the building ($13/day) and sometimes find street parking right in front . There are numerous decks around and I just unload in the front (if space accepts) and then I move my car. Street parking is complimentary from 6:30pm-9:00am Monday through Saturday and complimentary on Sunday.

There is a walk up! One flight of stairs, no elevator.

Sleeps 6 means: Two beds (one queen, one king) and one queen air bed. As my spot is so cavernous it comfortably sleeps 6. There is a couch as well which you could always do one on the couch and one on the air bed, I guess it would depend on who draws the short straw in your event or who isn't paying haha. Please disclose all overnight guests as we set up accordingly.

I have a similar unit (more modern in style) exactly adjacent to this unit, within same walk up. If you are booking a bigger event, let me know.

Located on a river, this condo is in Wilmington Historic District, a neighborhood in Wilmington. Finding your perfect rental:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Wilmington. To find the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses.   • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
