Strategies to get the perfect rental home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in Carolina Beach. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to pick the best vacation rental in Carolina Beach:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Beach Cabin - perfect for your family getaway! Pet Friendly! by RedAwning has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. text the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
