Tricks and tips to get the best Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. Booking your Carolina Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have deals for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanfront Condo with gorgeous views and Pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More considerations:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
