Tips for getting the perfect Carolina Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer is high season in the Carolina Beach area. Book your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfect Carolina Beach vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Pelican Park: Dog-friendly Home Overlooking Canal with Backyard Fireplace, Just has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach attraction you love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
