Tips to get the best Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Carolina Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best vacation rental:

  • Select vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Ocean Views, Balcony, Pool, STEPS to Beach Restaurants Shops has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
