How to find the best vacation property experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting and booking yourrental:

  • First, have your family decide on date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanfront Beach House has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
