Tips to get the best rental experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Holden Beach. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Carolina Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking the best Carolina Beach rental:

  • To start, have your group decide on vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront 4-8 Bedroom Duplex (\"Sunrise\" - Top) has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If not, contact the property management company before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
