Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect rental home experience:

When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home & When to go:

  • The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to choose the perfect rental home in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • First, have your family commit to date ranges and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Ocean Isle Beach Waterfront home w\/Pool & Elevator has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the host before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
