Carolina Beach rental home booking tips:

Sticking to a budget:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer time is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the right Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Select dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean Front WiFi, Pet Friendly, HDTV, Balcony Overlooking Ocean, Renovated! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
