Vacation rental home tips and tricks:

Getting the best rental value:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Carolina Beach area. Reserve your Carolina Beach rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the perfect vacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose the best dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Newly Renovated Long Beach Cottage - Ocean and Marsh views; 1 min walk to beach! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach attraction you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
