Tips for getting the perfect Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. Book your Carolina Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
