Welcome to The Mill House, a newly refreshed bungalow located near Historic Downtown Wilmington! Charm abounds at The Mill House, spend some of your favorite vacation memories appreciating the weather from the front porch, and spending time in the enclosed backyard, grilling, and sharing stories over the dancing flames in the firepit.

Inside, follow the fun pops of blue through the comfortable living room and into the bright, open kitchen. Here, cooking is made a breeze amidst gleaming countertops and stainless steel appliances. Dining is made just as simple at the formal dining table. Everyone's rest and relaxation are sure to be found in the well-decorated bedrooms. No matter the temperature outside, rest assured that the home's central air-conditioning will keep you cool. A private washer/dryer and internet access round out Mill House's interior perks.

Within mins. of your stay, savor exploring the UNC Wilmington Campus, Wrightsville Beach, the Live Oak Bank Pavilion, Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, Long Leaf Park, and the Long Leaf Mall.

Find your perfect rental home:

  • The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.

  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Additional considerations:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
